Japanese head spa · Four branches in Egypt

The Japanese head spa comes to Egypt.

Warm water over the scalp, in a room dark enough to lose track of the hour. Nothing is rushed, nothing is upsold, and the therapist who treated you last time will remember how you like it.

A guest lies still, eyes covered, beneath a copper vessel as warm oil falls toward her forehead.

Provenance

Why Japanese

In Japan the head spa is not something added to the end of a haircut. It is a discipline with its own training, its own instruments, and its own measure of success: what the scalp looks like under magnification at the end of the hour, compared to the beginning.
We brought the discipline, not the decor.
Ma
The pause that gives the rest its meaning.
Omotenashi
Care offered before it is asked for.
Totonoeru
Putting yourself back in order.

Base Head Spa Treatment

60 min From EGP 2,300

We begin by looking. A magnified camera reads the scalp: follicles, oil, the places holding tension. What it finds decides the rest of the hour.

Then warm oil, worked in slowly enough that most people stop talking by the tenth minute. Then the cascade: water held at body temperature, falling over the scalp in the dark, for as long as it takes.

You finish in the quiet room with hojicha. Before you leave, we take the same scan again, so you can see what changed.

Warm water poured over a guest’s hair at the basin, a towel folded at the brow.

What to expect

How a visit unfolds

Arrive fifteen minutes early. Everything after that is paced by you.
  1. 01

    Arrival

Tea, a robe, and ten minutes to stop moving before anyone touches you.

  2. 02

    The reading

A short consultation and a scalp scan, so your therapist works from what is there rather than what is assumed.

  3. 03

    The hour

Yours, uninterrupted. No phone, no clock on the wall, no one entering the room.

  4. 04

    The pause

The quiet room afterwards, for as long as you want it. Ma: the space that makes the rest of it mean something.

Our standards

What we don’t compromise on

  • Linens changed in front of you

Fresh for every guest, folded and laid while you watch.

  • Single-use, opened in front of you

Anything that should be used once is used once.

  • A room that is yours alone

For the whole hour, with a door that locks.

  • Asked before we touch

And stopped the moment you say so.

None of this is remarkable. It is simply the standard, kept every time.

Treatments that build on one another

The scalp work that opens the shoulders. The steam that makes the facial land. Priced more kindly than booking them apart, though that is not the point of them.
